Phnom Penh, 25\u201326 February 2026 \u2013 The Cambodia Partnership for Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas Association (CamboDHRRA) successfully conducted its Visioning Workshop for the Development of the Strategic Plan (2026\u20132030) at Sunway Hotel Phnom Penh, bringing together 23 participants from the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Secretariat, member organizations, and strategic partners.
\nThe two-day workshop marked a significant milestone in CamboDHRRA\u2019s institutional journey, as the network collectively reflected on past achievements and shaped a shared vision for the next five years.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on Progress and Lessons Learned<\/strong>
\nSince its establishment in 2018 and official registration in 2020, CamboDHRRA has played a key role in strengthening civil society organizations, agricultural cooperatives, and inclusive agri-food systems across Cambodia.
\nDuring the workshop, participants reviewed the implementation of the 2020\u20132025 Strategic Plan, highlighting achievements in:
\n\u2022 Sustainable agriculture and inclusive value chains
\n\u2022 Women and youth empowerment in agribusiness
\n\u2022 Digital agriculture and innovation
\n\u2022 Policy engagement and multi-stakeholder dialogue
\n\u2022 Strengthening farmer organizations and cooperatives
\nThe reflection session allowed members to celebrate successes while identifying institutional gaps and emerging challenges in the context of climate change, digital transformation, and evolving market demands.<\/p>\n

Shaping CamboDHRRA\u2019s Future Direction<\/strong>
\nThrough participatory exercises, context analysis, and future-scenario discussions, participants reached consensus on:
\n\u2022 A renewed strategic direction for 2026\u20132030
\n\u2022 Clear strategic goals and thematic priorities
\n\u2022 Cross-cutting commitments to gender equality, youth inclusion, and sustainability
\n\u2022 Organizational and institutional strengthening priorities
\n\u2022 Stronger positioning of CamboDHRRA as a national convener and connector
\nThe workshop reaffirmed CamboDHRRA\u2019s long-term vision: Cambodian farmers enjoy a dignified life and a high quality of living.
\nParticipants emphasized that the next strategic phase will focus not only on programmatic impact, but also on institutional sustainability, partnership expansion, and enhanced policy influence.<\/p>\n

Inclusive and Participatory Approach<\/strong>
\nThe workshop applied a facilitative and inclusive methodology, including appreciative reflection, internal and external context analysis, positioning exercises, and prioritization sessions.
\nThe process was facilitated by Mr. Mike Bratzke, Head of Project at Welthungerhilfe, ensuring a neutral and results-oriented dialogue. <\/p>\n

Strengthened Alignment and Commitment<\/strong>
\nBeyond producing strategic outputs, the workshop strengthened internal alignment among leadership, members, and partners. It reinforced a shared ownership of CamboDHRRA\u2019s mission to:
\n\u2022 Enhance technical and organizational capacities
\n\u2022 Foster enabling environments for farmer organizations
\n\u2022 Strengthen sustainable food systems
\n\u2022 Increase farmers\u2019 incomes and resilience<\/p>\n

The outcomes of the Visioning Workshop will now be consolidated into the first draft of CamboDHRRA Strategic Plan 2026\u20132030.<\/p>\n

CamboDHRRA extends its sincere appreciation to all Board members, Executive Committee members, Secretariat staff, member organizations, and partners for their active participation and valuable contributions to this important milestone.
