From 28–30 October 2025, CamboDHRRA, in collaboration with Action for Development (AFD) in Kampong Thom Province and under the project “Farmer-Led Innovative Research for Sustainable Transformation of Agriculture and Food Systems (FIRST)”, organized a Training of Trainers on Participatory Action Research (PAR) in Agroecology (AE) and Facilitation Skills. The training took place in Salavisai Commune, Prasat Balaing District, Kampong Thom Province.
A total of 23 participants—including 15 women—joined the course, all eager to strengthen their skills and contribute to positive transformation in their communities.
The training combined essential theory with hands-on practice, enabling participants to apply new knowledge directly:
🌿 Deepened understanding of the 13 Agroecology (AE) principles to promote resilient and diversified farming systems.
🔍 Practical exercises using the PAR cycle, empowering farmers to act as researchers and develop solutions to their own challenges.
🗣️ Enhanced facilitation skills for youth and women, equipping them to lead discussions, motivate community members, and foster collective action.
