Training on Agroecology and Policy Advocacy through Constructive Engagement

CamboDHRRA in collaboration with Action for Development (AFD) successfully organized a 2-day training on “Agroecology and Constructive Policy Engagement” from March 26–27, 2026, in Phnom Penh, under the framework of the FIRST Project.
The training brought together approximately 25 participants, including representatives from farmer organizations, agricultural cooperatives, civil society organizations (CSOs), and partner networks working in agriculture, environment, and food systems.
🎯 Key Objectives
The training aimed to strengthen participants’ capacity to understand and apply agroecology approaches, while enhancing their ability to effectively and constructively engage in policy dialogue processes that influence sustainable agricultural development in Cambodia.

Over the two days, participants explored and discussed:

🌱 Challenges and opportunities for agroecology transition in Cambodia
🌱 Policy and institutional frameworks related to agroecology
🌱 Approaches to policy advocacy and constructive engagement
🌱 Problem analysis, root cause identification, and development of practical recommendations

Through the training, participants:
