On November 7-8, 2024, CamboDHRRA, in partnership with Action for the Development (AFD), successfully organized a Leadership and Gender Transformation in Agribusiness training session at the Sunway Hotel in Phnom Penh. The two-day event brought together women and men leaders from farmer organizations, agricultural cooperatives, community protected area and civil society organizations.

The training was designed to be highly interactive, with participants engaging in group activities, discussions, and role-playing exercises.
• Day 1: Leadership Development for Agribusiness Transformation
The first day focused on foundational leadership skills, including exploring the qualities of effective leaders and the importance of transformative leadership within agribusiness. A highlight of the day was the development of the Women in Agribusiness Network (WAN) Terms of Reference, which established a roadmap for collaboration and support among women leaders in agribusiness.
• Day 2: Gender Transformation and Overcoming Challenges

Sessions focused on overcoming gender biases, building inclusive value chains, and fostering partnerships that support women-led businesses. Through group discussions and practical exercises, participants shared insights and strategies to enhance gender inclusivity in their operations.
By the end of the training, participants reported feeling empowered and equipped with actionable skills for their agribusinesses. Key achievements included:
• Enhanced Leadership Skills: Participants learned leadership and management techniques specific to the agribusiness sector, preparing them to take on larger roles in their organizations.
