On February 12, 2025, CamboDHRRA facilitated the participation of five representatives from the Women in Agriculture Network (WAN) in a high-level roundtable discussion focused on fostering partnerships between the public sector, the private sector, and agricultural cooperative.
The roundtable, organized by the Center for Policy Studies (CPS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) and the Mekong Region Land Governance (MRLG) Project, was held at the Cambodiana Hotel, Phnom Penh. The event provided a platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue, emphasizing the need for inclusive and sustainable agribusiness partnerships that empower smallholder farmers, particularly women, in agribusiness and rural development.
The WAN representatives contributed valuable insights on the challenges and opportunities for women in agriculture, including access to finance and market linkages. Their participation highlighted the importance of gender-responsive policies and the role of women-led agricultural cooperatives in strengthening Cambodia’s food systems.
CamboDHRRA remains committed to promoting women’s leadership in agribusiness and facilitating dialogue that bridges the gap between policymakers, private sector actors, and agricultural cooperatives to drive sustainable and equitable agricultural development.
