Phnom Penh, 25–26 February 2026 – The Cambodia Partnership for Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas Association (CamboDHRRA) successfully conducted its Visioning Workshop for the Development of the Strategic Plan (2026–2030) at Sunway Hotel Phnom Penh, bringing together 23 participants from the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Secretariat, member organizations, and strategic partners.
The two-day workshop marked a significant milestone in CamboDHRRA’s institutional journey, as the network collectively reflected on past achievements and shaped a shared vision for the next five years.
Reflecting on Progress and Lessons Learned
Since its establishment in 2018 and official registration in 2020, CamboDHRRA has played a key role in strengthening civil society organizations, agricultural cooperatives, and inclusive agri-food systems across Cambodia.
During the workshop, participants reviewed the implementation of the 2020–2025 Strategic Plan, highlighting achievements in:
• Sustainable agriculture and inclusive value chains
• Women and youth empowerment in agribusiness
• Digital agriculture and innovation
• Policy engagement and multi-stakeholder dialogue
• Strengthening farmer organizations and cooperatives
The reflection session allowed members to celebrate successes while identifying institutional gaps and emerging challenges in the context of climate change, digital transformation, and evolving market demands.
Shaping CamboDHRRA’s Future Direction
Through participatory exercises, context analysis, and future-scenario discussions, participants reached consensus on:
• A renewed strategic direction for 2026–2030
• Clear strategic goals and thematic priorities
• Cross-cutting commitments to gender equality, youth inclusion, and sustainability
• Organizational and institutional strengthening priorities
• Stronger positioning of CamboDHRRA as a national convener and connector
The workshop reaffirmed CamboDHRRA’s long-term vision: Cambodian farmers enjoy a dignified life and a high quality of living.
Participants emphasized that the next strategic phase will focus not only on programmatic impact, but also on institutional sustainability, partnership expansion, and enhanced policy influence.
Inclusive and Participatory Approach
The workshop applied a facilitative and inclusive methodology, including appreciative reflection, internal and external context analysis, positioning exercises, and prioritization sessions.
The process was facilitated by Mr. Mike Bratzke, Head of Project at Welthungerhilfe, ensuring a neutral and results-oriented dialogue.
Strengthened Alignment and Commitment
Beyond producing strategic outputs, the workshop strengthened internal alignment among leadership, members, and partners. It reinforced a shared ownership of CamboDHRRA’s mission to:
• Enhance technical and organizational capacities
• Foster enabling environments for farmer organizations
• Strengthen sustainable food systems
• Increase farmers’ incomes and resilience
The outcomes of the Visioning Workshop will now be consolidated into the first draft of CamboDHRRA Strategic Plan 2026–2030.
CamboDHRRA extends its sincere appreciation to all Board members, Executive Committee members, Secretariat staff, member organizations, and partners for their active participation and valuable contributions to this important milestone. CamboDHRRA also expressed appreciation to AsiaDHRRA for continuing strategic support and engagement and Welthungerhilfe for generous financial support.
Together, we move forward—stronger, more aligned, and committed to advancing dignified livelihoods for Cambodian farmers.
