The Agricultural Cooperative Business Forum 2025 (ACBF2025) was held on November 12, 2025, and was followed by CAFE2025 on November 13 in Phnom Penh. The event was co-organized by CamboDHRRA, its members, the Cambodia Agricultural Cooperative Alliance, the NGO Forum on Cambodia, and development partners under the theme “Building Stronger Agricultural Cooperatives through Digital Solutions.”
The forum was presided over by Dr. Chay Chim, Director of the Department of Agro-Industry, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; Mr. Frew Behabtu, Country Director of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD); Mr. Neth Sovann, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CamboDHRRA; Mr. Hun Seanghon, Executive Director of the Cambodian Agricultural Cooperative Alliance; and Mr. Soeung Saroeun, Executive Director of the NGO Forum on Cambodia.
The event brought together more than 350 participants, including agricultural cooperatives, community fisheries, community forestry groups, women and youth networks, indigenous communities, non-governmental organizations, government ministries and institutions, Provincial Departments of Agriculture, commune agricultural officers, private sector companies, financial institutions, and universities.
ACBF2025 was organized with the following objectives:
- To increase understanding and adoption of digital technologies among ACs, Community Fisheries, Community Rubber Family Farmers, Indigenous Peoples’ Communities, and other stakeholders (government, NGOs, farmer organizations, private sector, and academia) to transform cooperative business models and improve value chain efficiency.
- To showcase best practices and successful innovations in digital marketing, digital supply chain management, traceability, agri-tech solutions, and fintech.
- To facilitate partnerships between agricultural cooperatives, buyers, agri-tech companies, and financial service providers through matchmaking and business networking sessions.
- To promote climate-resilient and responsible business practices in communities and value chains, ensuring that digital transformation contributes to environmental sustainability, social inclusion, and ethical production.
- To identify policy priorities and capacity development needs that support inclusive and sustainable digital transformation in the agricultural sector.
This year’s ACBF also coincided with the 14th National Farmers Forum and the Cambodia Agricultural Forum and Exhibition 2025 (CAFE25), providing an excellent platform for all stakeholders to exchange ideas, showcase innovations, and strengthen collaboration for the advancement of Cambodia’s agriculture sector.
CamboDHRRA reaffirms its commitment to serving as a multi-stakeholder partnership platform connecting civil society, government institutions, the private sector, farmer organizations, agricultural cooperatives, and development partners to promote sustainable, environmentally friendly, and resilient agricultural value chains.
CamboDHRRA extends our sincere appreciation to all partners for their continued support and contributions in empowering farming communities to seize new opportunities in this digital age.
