CamboDHRRA cooperates with other key actors initiate to establish Multi-Actor Partnership Platform on Rubber Sector in Cambodia

On 07 to 08 June 2023, Mr. Him Noeun, Secretary General of CamboDHRRA participated in Multi-Actor Partnership Workshop that organized by WWF Cambodia at Sensory Hotel, Phnom Penh, supported by BMZ through GAA / WHH, with the aim of jointly initiating the establishment of a Multi Actor Partnership Platform (MAP) in the rubber sector.

It’s noted that eight organizations from various sectors, including the public sector, private sector, agricultural cooperative, and civil society organizations, have agreed to join the multi-actor partnership platform (MAP) as core partners. The General Directorate of Rubber (GDR), the Cambodian Rubber Research Institute (CRRI), and the Provincial Department of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries of Mondulkiri (PDAFF-Mondulkiri) represent the public sector. The civil society organizations that have joined the partnership include WWF-Cambodia, Cambodian Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Area Association (CamboDHRRA). The NGO Forum on Cambodia (NGOF), and Farmer and Nature Net Association (FNN). Lastly, the agricultural cooperative that has joined the partnership is the Pich Chreada Rubber Smallholders Agricultural Cooperative (PSAC).

the MAP aims to promote sustainable agriculture practices that benefit smallholder farmers, indigenous peoples, and workers. By establishing a multi-actor platform and dialogue structure, the MAP can ensure that all stakeholders have a voice in the decision-making process. This can help promote transparency, fairness, and sustainability in the rubber supply chains while improving the living conditions of those involved in the sector.
